My wife tried cold turkey, patches etc and always failed. She had one session of one-on-one hypnotherapy 7 years ago and has not touched one since she walked out of the door.



She swears by it, but I have a different take on it. When she tried patches and cold turkey, she was badgered by me and the kids to try, but she went voluntarily to the hypnotist because SHE wanted to stop for herself and was determined to succeed. I think the hypnotism helped (no question), but probably helped to enforce her will to cease smoking rather than was the cure all.

I had been 100% determined to quit several times before I tried the hypnotherapy.

Iv been on an E cig (totally wicked) for 7 months, the only thing that has ever worked for me, they are superb.

If any of these e-cig manufacturers could develop a product the same size as a roll-up, that tasted like Golden Virginia, then I might be tempted to give them another go.

Going to try champix via boots stop smoking clinic,tried some herbal cigs peppermint flavour but tbh smell shocking but taste ok

I have thought about going to one to stop me eating cr@p, I suppose it's the same principle.

Decided not to go with champix my sky cig came last saturday and started using this so far so good not touched a proper cig now for 4 days

I've seen [ipatients[/i from the cancer wards at Hull Royal Infirmary standing outside having a smoke, so there's no guarantee just visiting one would work.

Dont need to smoke to get cancer look at Roy Castle,plus in my opinion everybody is born with its just something that triggers it off in life

That might be your opinion, but I think you'd need to produce some evidence in order for it to be taken seriously.



And no, you certainly don't need to smoke to get cancer, but it increases your chances massively.

Why does anyone smoke then?
