I saw pass after pass, for both teams which could have been called as forward.



I havent watched the game fully through yet, so I cant really comment on that, only looked at the Harris try so far.

My initial reaction was that it was a try, but after several replays I wasn't sure.



I'd do away with the video ref anyway - more often than not, the camera angles just confuse everyone.

I don't think he got it down over the line and obvioulsy Harris didn't either. However looking at the rule book this morning it says:

The Referee should not disallow a try because he was not in a position to see the grounding of the ball.[/i



Video refs are classed as the referree for their decisions so i can only think he gave benefit of the doubt for it. I found it strange that all the fev players lined up for the play the ball and only Hicks thought it was a try.



Still thankfully we won and it's in the record books now, so i won't be dwelling on it.

And according to that buffoon Ben Proe interviewing Daryl Powell it was FEATHERSTONE who were hard done by by the video ref!

Think Harris is becomming another Jimmy Lowes - he never stopped having a go at the ref over every decision. It looked like his team mates were getting fed up of him towards the end

In this particular instance, I reckon he went with the "benefit of doubt to the attacking team" cop-out. No way was that ball anywhere near the money line.



If you notice the appointments on the RFL website for forthcoming fixtures it isn't usually a second tier referee who gets the video ref gig at live broadcasts. I wonder if Robert Hicks is being trialled as the next full time referee after the recent interviews took place ???? Just a thought, but think of it this way, if he gets promoted we won't see too much of him in future !!!

I think you're right. Lets make a push to have him moved to super league!

Benefit of the doubt is a fair ruling and should be applied. Its just that there was NO doubt there!
