Your example of Dylan not changing his spots is not a very good one either given that he caused the biggest outrage in musical history in 1965 when he went electric, since then he's transcended nearly every musical genre going apart from classical opera and hundreds of artists across the spectrum have covered his songs.
I'll give you The Stones though.'"
I must confess I've not done the full Dylan discography, just all of his stuff that I have come across was a bit sameish to me, I was just a twinkle in 1965
Does the electric phase not get mentioned in the Dylan household

| Quote G1="G1"Yes. Most of those are based upon facts and tackle the subject matter seriously.
Still, what the genre needed was a good shoot 'em. Those WWII jews were just so drab, grey and skinny. Quentin makes 'em cool and hip.
Kapow.'"
So you are saying that some Jews in occupied France didn't hide their identities?

No, the outrage was from his army of pre-65 folk club beatniks in their dufflecoats, beards and sandals, and the blokes dressed pretty much the same way too.
You should visit the famous video review web site and type in something like "bob dylan don't look back" to see the hilarious exerpts from the film documentary of that time, the gigs when Dylan played two halves, one for the traditional folky beatniks and then the second half when the band got out their electric instruments and all hell let loose in the audience.

It wasn't ever advertised as a serious factual film though was it?? In fact before we went to the pictures, Danny told me it was more of a comedy. Whilst the subject matter is serious and certain facts were included, certain aspects of the film were funny.
