It is not helping the current exchange rate for players from Down Under so they are losing out, as far as home grown players who leave if James goes it is all Wrong that two players and not one penny of income for all the investment made with a transfer fee.

TP says some very good things about the club and gives the impression that he would like to stay.

Yeh but that is the way of transfers these days. Cas got nowt for Shenton. Saints have also lost Emmitt, Smith, Johnson et al, all for nothing. Most clubs will wait till players are off contract, it makes sense.



There are the rare exceptions. In the end the home club have first dibs to sign a player, it's up to them whether to try and tie them to a long contract or not.



Anything else would be restriction of trade. I only have to give my employer a months notice. So at least the contracts require a full filling of the contract and players can't chop and change each week depending on the price, as that would kill sport as a support based event.

We've got a real problem if this is the case.

Chris Hill's been touted, almost as a cerainty. Mason's the only other prop I fancy from the OOC list.

Those + Perry, LMS and Clough will be an impressive set, but not as good as we currently have (although Clough and LMS could well go up a gear by this time next year).

I see LMS as a graham replacement but don't see any like for like tp replacement time for Mr MAC and rolls to pull another rabbit from the hat

LMS has really impressed me, to the point it will minimise grahams loss. TP will be harder to replace from scratch, i agree magical mac has his work cut out there

I read it a little different, yes good things about the club but a sense of time to say Farewell!
