Was watching the Matty Johns show last week and think it was Johns himself (could be wrong)

that said he reckons Ellis is the best forward in the world right now. Agree or disagree I thought it

was a nice change from the Burgess love that goes on down here.

Burgess has had a great season and is certainly a top player, one of the best. For some reason he gets

way more plaudits than Ellis. Perhaps thats what happens when Uncle Rusty pulls out the stops to make you

a high profile signing.

This is no way an Ellis V Burgess debate by the way, just nice to see Ellis get whats due for a change.

Burgess is better.



Ellis is a super forward though.

Most people here would say Burgess is better, but it's hard to compare. Burgess is more explosive, but does that make him better?



Personally, I think Gallen has been the best forward in the NRL this year.

I agree Rusty has hyped little pommie Sam up to be some kind of all conquering northern hemisphere god like figure that would single handedly bring the premiership to Souths.... but we soon saw that wasn't the case

Gallen is the best forward in the world as well as the NRL.

If I had to sign one I'd sign Burgess, more for what he will become than what he is now. ellis gives you more now, 80mins, big on defence, runs great attacking lines. The all round No1 forward imo in the NRL this season.



People my say Thaiday or Hannatt are better but they need a rest after 18-20mins. Ellis gives you a full 80, the rest lucky to get 50 good mins out of them.
