| The structure of the championships next season should have been in place before the current season even began - the RFL knew one team would be leaving to join the SL and should have anticipated the team kicked out would want to join the championships
can anyone justify it not being decided yet, if you need a lot of time to decide then start earlier
if you wanted to kill off the second and third tier, the current attitude would certainly help!

| Quote Traffic="Traffic"What do you want a rash decision or a considered one?
Granted the financial impact of how many clubs will allow for some financial assumptions (something clubs fell foul of this year). That said, surely all clubs are playing to win their respective division and have a good run in the Northern Rail and Challenge Cup or, are they that meticulous at Leigh that they need to know whether they need to aim for 5th or 6th and third or fourth round of the cup?'"
Well considering they haven't made the decision yet , and essentially they have only recently started considering it , they are having to rush into a rash decision , as Hopie said , all this should have been sorted months ago at the start of this season, this isn't about Leigh , this is about all the clubs , and the lack of respect shown these clubs by the governing body

Presumably they did not foresee Toulouse leaving the competition, or the problems Crusaders would suffer. If it was as simple as you are making out, obviously things would have been sorted by now, they haven't just not acted for no reason.

Well if they didn't for see it who did , Toulouse leaving is an RFL decision ?
Similarily with the Crusaders , you seriously don't think they didn't know the financial position months before the licence decision ?
They hoped that one or two expansion clubs would have financial backing to enable them to join the Championship , it would appear there is. ' interest ' , just no money to back it up
They announced a restructuring in the hope something would turn up , it hasn't

We don't need a restructure , we just need more clubs , and the current clubs need help , not gimmicks
As I said they announced a restructure in the hope something would turn up , but what they hoped would turn up hasn't , now they haven't enough clubs to restructure , something definate for a changed would be nice

Answer: they would have had to scrap the announced structure, we'd be in an argubly worse position than we currently are in and the whole thing would be a complete mess.

You aren't listening/reading properly , it was the RFL that decided Toulouse wouldn't remain in the Championship , as for the Crusader issue , that is irrelevant , we are discussing new , more clubs , not existing ones ( especially ones that have been doomed from the start ) , they should either have checked up on suitability from the start , or been positive and be prepared to finance a club themselves

We are discussing more, new clubs, but even you cant be so dumb as to not understand that they will be joining existing clubs and to decide the structure for a league including more, new clubs, you need to know how many old, existing clubs you are starting with.
