I'm a tad disappointed with today's attendance however it's a great example of why we need the North stand development. I alone know of 3 people who based their decision on whether to go or not on today's weather, with the East and RM stands sold out the north was the only option and with no roof its not the best place to sit. Annoyingly it actually brightened up just after KO.



It was mainly our friendly neighbours predicting a capacity crowd though, most Rovers fans were hoping for 9k.

Clearly the RFL want Mason bringing headlines for SL so have agreed special dispensation for HKR re Dobson. Good move for the game. If it was Hull signing Lockyer in similiar circumstances I would expect them to do the same. there is probably only a handful of players that could bring the amount of media attention Willie Mason can to SL so they should be doing everything to get him on the field.

Agreed. At least, for all his faults (and actual lack of doing very much on the field for the past couple of years) Mason is a genuine big-name player. I have no problems with dispensation for star players. I have problems with any 'regulations' that enable so many overseas nobodies to play SL however.

I don't think you'll find many Rovers fans that said we'd get 10500, it was only a figment of Mrs Baristas fevered imagination so she can spend the next week camped on our board prattling on about how we didn't achieve an attendance she'd dreamed up!

so why not get rid of a smaller name like Clinton, or Newton. Then HKA dont need a dispensation for the fact they have signed too many overseas players?

i have done it plenty of times. The rule which has been circumvented is the quota, the rule which will be broken (with dispensation) is rule C1:4:7, its not my fault if you cant read.

C1:4:7 An "overseas Player" who is removed from a Club Register during the Season cannot then be placed back on that Club's Register in that same Season save with the permission of the Board.



If the board give permission the rule has not been broken. It seems Dudley isn't the only one who has difficulty reading.
