you have a mixture of options in mind and then choose one of them depending on the number of applications, it's not difficult



less than a certain number of clubs would have meant one division, more than that means two and various fixture structures could be used to make sure the clubs have enough games to keep the clubs going

No it does the opposite , you set a deadline , if that deadline isn't met , you make the decision and any interest has to then be considered 12 months on



The number of divisions is a huge issue , at the moment we have two fairly competitive leagues with all but 4/5 clubs having something to play for up to the last couple of weeks of the season , change that to one league and you'd have 50 percent with the season over by the 5 th round , a bit like SL

not being ideal and being a mess are two pretty different things.



If in two months they have a clear plan and structure the fact it wasnt in place now will be of no interest to anyone.

What would happen if Crusaders were forced to wait 12 months, what would be the sense in making them sit on the sidelines for a year if they have everything in place to compete next season? Introducing inflexible deadlines would be completely stupid, it would be one of the worst things the RFL could do.

Even if Crusaders were to lose out it would be because of their own disorganisation, something that should not be encouraged! You shouldn't put the majority of clubs out for the benefit of one or a minority (see the super league licensing process)

Last year, when the applications should have been made every super league club should have been asked if they wanted to be in the championships if they failed to get into super league, simple

If they said yes, then went bust after the decision, we would be in exactly the same position.

I recently paid for two CC1 season tickets for next year, the lady in the office gave me a voucher and appologised saying 'i'm sorry we haven't printed the tickets yet as we don't know how many games will be played or how many divisions there will be!' The club has tried to get some cash in from the fans up front but potentially could loose out if the rfl raise the number of games played substantially.
