| Quote Mikey the Viking="Mikey the Viking"When the 4 Nations is in the Norther Hemisphere, then the winner of the Euro cup takes the 4th spot in the 4 nations. Same with southern Hemisphere but the 4th place being taken by the winner or the Pacific cup.
So basically, the winner of this years Pacific cup will play next year in the 4 Nations. Then the winner of the Euro cup in 2010 will feature in the 2011 4 nations. That's assuming them have one.'"
Cheers.
But, what happens to France then ?

If you take the Aussies and 2nd rate English players in Super League then yes. If you had to play with local or real Nationals, France are by far much stronger. I'm not sure what the ruling is in the Euro Nations. Isn't it like 5 players in the 18 man squad have to be from the countires National league?

By far the way to go.
You might not be as strong as the other teams initially but I bet a rule like that spurs on local participation. If I had an opportunity like that just for playing local park footy i'd be straight down there.
How is the irish league coming on these days?

| France will win the euro cup when they are wrongly relegated from the 4N, they can consistently call on their best players depending on the level of competiton Ireland and Scotlands squad fluctuate

I would agree with that, it must be a huge boost to guys who are, like you say playing amateur RL and get to rub up with some of the better players in Europe.
How much would the lad from Ireland, forget his name (not Kerr), have taken from playing alongside Ryan Tandy, who played in the GF for Melbourne storm.

| Exactly Marv.
Ireland seem to posess a good team spirit and look greater than the sum of their parts. Hopefully it can rub off on the local league.
But yeh, anyone got any clues on how the development is going over in Eire?
Also when are the pacific cup highlights on sky?

Try asking Ashulster about the progress of the game in Ireland mate.
Pacific Cup highlights programme is on Friday 6th November.
