| Not sure about the worst ever but in recent times Wigan have been hit hard. Denis Moran, Stuart Fielden and David Vaealiki were all players who fell well below expectations.
Warrington had the same with Michael Sullivan, Matt King and Michael Monaghan.
In Australia, Brett Kimmorleys move to the Northern Eagles was supposed to kickstart that franchise but he left after an unimpressive year to join Cronulla and the franchise folded and returned the licence to Manly.
When Parra dominated the NRL comp in 2001 and blew the Grand Final, they signed Adam Dykes who had been one of the stars of the season with Cronulla, and Andrew McFadden as replacements for the retiring Jason Taylor and Michael Buettner. Neither fit in and Parra struggled.

| Quote Saint Simon="Saint Simon"On another topic i was discussing how IMO Bradford signing Harris is the worst signing in history.
He was well past his best but mainly the effect it had on Bradford, No money to retain Peacock, Vianakolo, Hape and the team collapsed, Sued by Leeds and the club is all but Bankrupt. Look at the state of the bulls before his signing. 2003 they were champions, 2009 and they are decimated with no real hope of return.
Anyone think of a worst signing?'"
I know where you`re coming from with Iestyn where it was matters around the signing rather than what he did on the field which were the negatives. Whilst he was never worth the amount he was given he wasn`t our worst actual signing by a long chalk since he actually played quite well for us and certainly put in plenty of effort.
Terry Holmes would have to be in there as one of the worst. Not that he could have forseen that he would be injured and and forced to retire and he was clearly cut up about it but that [iwas[/i the situation.
Top of the flops to me though was one Mario Fenech; if anyone can find a bigger waste of space who ever pulled on a rugby shirt I`ll eat my hat. Actually I`d be surprised if he made such an effort as to pull his own shirt on, the club probably had to provide a valet to do it for him, so as to prevent haim having to bend his back.

He wasnt a bad player but the effect his signing has had on your club has been devestating!

Didn't Vaealiki start producing towards the end of his contract. I remember he strung a few matches together.

| David young was a hopeless big name RU signging for Leeds.
He made his debut late on in a 90-0 thrashing of Barrow and managed to look OK.
That was the best we ever saw of him.

| Quote Eurob0y="Eurob0y"You know, once his contract is up, i bet he will have cost Wigan best of a million pounds aaaaahahahahah'"
If you consider we payed £450,000 for him plus his wages for 4 and a half years that are more then likely around £200,000 per season we'll have paid out in total £1.35m pounds for him!
That will take some beating!
Although he has shown some flashes of good form for us at the back end of the 2006 and 2008 seasons it's still been a disaster.

| Matthew Johns to Wigan was a shocker. Michael Sullivan was another pearler but they were only poor on the field. Harris at Bradford takes some beating, They lost the GB captain, the best centre/wing combination is SL history along with x amount compensation and public humiliation.
