Although i dont think riley is a world class full back he has done a good job there so far and is only a young lad so still has a lot to learn and will get better under ts

He has done some glaring errors this season as well as some great play, needs to be more consistent and then he would be great at FB. |

Mathers takes a lot of flak and things haven't gone his way in recent years and that's probably reflected in what we're probably paying him.
If he gets back to his Leeds form then he's a hell of a lot better than Riley.

None of the players mention in anything I have read is anywhere near good enough quality for us .We would need to look further for a good replacement as I believe you don't sell a player and bring in an inferior player all that does is weaken the team/squad . |

The main problems with Mathers are that his timing and positioning are way off, he has little confidence and does not link up in attack.
His attitude, effort and professionalism can't be faulted and if Tony Smith can bring out the best of him then great, as he fully deserves to regain his form.
Prepare for some fustrating Mathers-moments particulary position/reaction-wise, but I hope he comes good for his sake.

Mathers did actually play in the NRL at full back and while only making a handfull of games before injury he was highly thought of at the Titans......
could we imagine Chris Riley starting at Full back for any NRL Team....
