Wasnt. For a few of hours after the Wigan game finished it was still saying we were playing either Hudderfield or Hull KR on friday or Saturday. When i posted above at 10.30pm there was no definative announcement on the club site, or sky, or RFL.

yes it was mate? they told us before it even kicked off what was happening if wigan won we played friday at 8 if wigan lost we played sat at 6 15 lol then soon as hooter went they told us officially

So other clubs bending over backwards for Wigan AGAIN!!



We played on friday last week because Wigan couldn't. We are playing on saturday because Wigan can't!! If a team can't get their stadium available for use they should forfeit home advantage!! Not other teams fault.

Bending over backwards??? The highest ranked loser were always playing on the friday, and thats us now!!!! If we had won then you would have had the friday game.

He's right. It's nothing to do with favouring Wigan, it's just the way it works out.

Part of the problem is that the initial "this is the way the fixtures are" were all based on the order in which games had played in in previous season. The RFL never pre-announced any of the playoff games either this year, last year or ever. Last week Wigan had to play on Sunday due to DW "rules". This week they have to play on Friday due to "DW" rules. These "rules" are one of the factors which need to be taken into consideration when the games are scheduled by Sky....oooops meant to say the RFL!



I think Leeds have an issued with Leeds United on 25th meaning that Yorkshire police are likley to insist that their game being played on the Friday so there is no clash. Nowhere is it currently set in stone anywhere that the highest/lowest placed winner of week 1 will play either friday or Saturday but this factor is likeley to mean that there can be only one possible combination of fixture dates.

Where/when official was it posted that the highest placed losers would play Friday other than "thats what happened last year"? What I was trying to say is that these things are NOT predetermined until all the factors are known (ie:- who's playing, who's at home, are the police happy with it, are there any other factors etc)

It was laid out, ok tentatively, but as its worked out they can do. Off course it can change, but there is no reason for it, escpecially when it would cause problems for Wigan. Its hardly the RFL bending over backwards as a previous poster stated. Anyway, these are the dates so we all have to except it. Personally its crap for me as I go away on few hours, I was hoping that Wigan wouldnt be playing next week as now i'll miss it.

the fixture lists always had 2nd vs 3rd on the saturday, and 1st vs 4th on the friday, for "some reason" wigan played on the sunday and we had their friday slot

Semi finals...FWIW.... Saint are selling tickets for the Friday night, Rhinos are selling tickets for the Saturday. Come 1.15 Sunday, HOPEFULLY, we can then plan the following weekend.
