Dont know the name, but on Church St opposite The Bulls Head is a real good barbers and only £6.50

the Turkish bloke in the tiny place at the top end of Longshaw Street is actually far more skillful and more than many people who charge premium rates. £7 for a cut.

Turkish barbers are fine if you're a knuckdragging neanderthal, who wears a tee-shirt 3 sizes too small, baseball cap and socks tucked into trackie bottoms. A simple number 1 all over with a few tram lines to match-up with the tattoos on arms and neck. Give a turkish barber a pair of scissors and he's buggered...

You could have a Lionel Blair haircut like mine.

Traditions in Sankey only £5.50. You get a stamp every time you go, on your sixth visit you get a free toy.

One of them always wears a leather waistcoat and sweats, another with white hair shakes quite a bit as if he needs a drink. The other is always stood outside having a fag.

Kids aren't allowed on Saturdays and they get really weird if any come in.

They stop speaking and get agitated. One sweats more, the other shakes more, and they wait until the one having a fag comes back in and tells the kids that they're not allowed on Saturday.



You come out of there sweating, shaking, needing a fag and hating children.

This is actually quite an interesting topic. When people mention things that have declined over the years (chippies, postmen, online video interviews) this is never brought up. It took me years to find a good hairdresser, I actually grown it to gay lengths as I couldn't trust anyone with it.
