It's more like 25 minutes to Chiswick mainline from Wloo and then it's either a 10 minute walk to the High Road or just catch the E3 bus - so a 2 minute bus ride.
I live near the mainline station so I can direct you easily from there.
The other travel option for Chiswick is Gunnersbury station on the London Overground line - it is a couple of minutes walk to the pub from there for those heading in from East / North London.
I haven't contacted the pub yet but will do so tomorrow and post on here but if they will put it on - how many are in for Wires Round London in Chiswick? Horatio - I'm game if you are if it's just you and I!
My only reservation about Central London pubs is that often they don't have the TV on at weekends or the places are packed so isn't really convivial for match watching. There is a good pub behind Goodge St. tube that was popular with Leaguies called the Hope. If someone wants to check whether they will put it on (with sound) then I'm happy to head there if that's better for everyone else.
Oh and on the lager point. I don't drink lager either so don't worry the Pride is good around Chiswick as it's a stones throw to the brewery.
