| It looks very intimate and when full, would probably sound great whereas we really need to sort the acoustics out at the HJ and move the standing seating arrangement.
Will it happen though ?
Well i just checked my bottom out and i still have a hole in it but when it heals up i'll let you know.

| The queen and Prince Philip will be officially opening the Leigh Sports Village next week.
Who opened the HJ, some chump from the council and 'Lord' Dougie Hoyle?

| Quote The Casual Des="The Casual Des"Just watching Leigh v Widnes and looking at the impressive Leigh Sporting Village which has opened this year.
Cant wait to visit this ground one day, I have gotta say it looks far better on TV than the Halliwell Jones.
Think we knocked ours up on the cheap, compared to Leigh's effort ours looks a wee bit dated.'" It's in Leigh so straight away your argument is flawed as Leigh is a slum.

I'm reliably informed that the Queen will be wearing a hat made from fox fur. This is because, when she told Philip that she was due to go to Leigh, his response was 'Where the fox hat?'.

| The problem with the HJ is the corners need filling in, that dilutes the atmosphere. Leigh's is a nice rectangle shape as well.
Plus for a stadium which was completed in 2004 the quality of the materials used at the HJ looks a bit shoddy and cheap. Next time you are in the South Stand look up at the roof, its starting to rust already!!

| But Leigh don't have the corners filled in either and there is no-way the club will fill in the corners until we start to sell out at least 70% of our games and we are nowhere near that mark ,it would also effect the airflow over the pitch and the amount of sunlight that helps the grass grow so there is a lot to think about before they fill in the corners ,I would however make sure that the sky screen is put in the away end of the ground and I would install Microphones in the south stand to amplify the sound it is pretty quiet at the moment !
Do stadiums come under the same guarantee as houses do which is a ten year period where the builder has to rectify faults if so your right there are some massive cracks in the floors in the south stand and the paint job is pretty 2nd rate imo !

Ans what's to say Leigh fans won't be saying the same thing about their ground in 5 years time?

| Maybe the HJ isn't the finest stadium in the world but it's a damn site better than what we had, and what most other teams in club rugby have too. We should really be grateful as if it wasn't for Tesco we would still be in a dilapidated Wilderspool.

| Leighs is a better stadium. Externally it looks great witha fabulous electronic scoreboard. Yes the HJ is better than Wilderspool but the the tacky white cladding does not compare to brick.
All go and have a look for yourselves - you would be surprised
