Official that Symonds will be returning to Oz and has left the club. Our thoughts?

I'm not sure we would have paid his whole contract. He was apparently returning to be ready to play in the next few weeks, so why pay him in full when he has a chance to play again? Also the article said his wife is due to give birth soon which I'd guess he was keen to return to Australia with his family. He is a very good player when fit and I wish him all the best and hope he can continue playing back in Australia.

We possibly won’t have paid out his full contract as he had a year and a half left- but we will likely have paid the rest of this year which means we can’t use his cap money this year.

Apparently his family asked for him to be released and come home as they were worried due to threats and nasty stuff he's been sent accusing him of getting injured on purpose, there's some sick ppl out there.

I have lots of dealings with lots of players at a lot of clubs, i get to hear alsorts, that story came from an employee of the club, whether it's true or not i dunno thats why i said apparently.
