Wade is athletically perfect for rugby league and the way we use our wingers.
He?s an absolute power house, he had great feet and he is rapid. His athletic gifts are the reason he had a good dig at transitioning to the NFL.
At the end of the day though he?s 33.
I don?t think Douglas will be ready for the way we play physically for a couple of years but at the same time I don?t think Wade will be around for a couple of years.
If he?d have come a decade ago he would have been a beast, at this stage of his career it?s a free shot to nothing given he won?t cost us anything on the cap. He won?t play more than a handful of games I don?t think however I think those games will be entertaining.
Ultimately it?s a bit of a PR exercise which will put more eyes on us as a club in my opinion and I think we will see some glimpses of what might have been had he come earlier.
There has been miles more mainstream media coverage of this signing than the signing of Tom Amone an ex Superleague Dream team member. Even though I?m almost certain he will fail for us even I?m excited just because of who he is and what background he?s come from.
