It's the Mirror who have taken a quote from IL and put a headline on it saying IL is accusing Noble of not getting the players fit. Nowhere in the article does IL mention Noble or does IL make such a direct accusation.



I dare say IL has a number of things he expects a head coach to do and I suppose you could say if he mentions any of them the implication is he doesn't think Noble did a good job with respect to whatever it is he is talking about but to say IL is making accusations against Noble is accepting the headline as the truth of the matter.



This is just the Mirror taking a quote and putting their spin on it.

Yeah i read that article yesterday, saw the line, the only direct quote is that 1 or 2 players aren't fit enough, nothing about noble, nothing we or the opposition fans don't mention at any opportunity.

Lets bring Q back!



Imagine what it would do for the club having such a guy working with the youngsters and senior players. The holiday would most certainly be over

one thing you can say about brian noble is that he comes across as professional and dignified. he has had to carry on trying to do a job after the kearney affair. that can't be easy and i think everyone involved with the club should draw a line through it, wish the guy well in the future,and move on.

I don't see anything in that article about their working relationship. I see a hint of dissatisfaction that a well-paid job wasn't done properly. But let's not forget headlines from Nobby like "I can't wait forever" and "eventually you get the message", all of which implied that he was being treated poorly - to me those are equally comments on their relationship. Then we had the drunken ranting to a bunch of Wigans fans in Australia, which very quickly made it onto the internet.



At this rate, in about two months we'll be seeing Brian Noble as some kind of martyr rather than a coach who in three and a half years couldn't get our potentially most devastating forward to lose a stone in weight. Even the Peter Foxes of this would could have managed that.



Enough said.

Pongia has just been given the role of assistant coach at Canberra Raiders for 2010.



It looks as though he's doing pretty well.

So the players are unfit, and he expects his head coach to make sure they are fit. Hardly spin of the century.

IMO Leneghan's right but I think it should have been kept in house.

I was just about to say that we all should know better than to believe every word that is written in newspapers but DaveO has said more or less the same thing first.

Press and media outlets will always sensationalise bits of news just to make them more interesting or appealing. I think both IL and BN have conducted themselves with dignity at a time when it was obviously difficult for both of them. None of us will agree 100% with everything that is done at the club all the time and it is no use talking about what should or shouldn't have happened - it's gone and we have a new coach - let's look forward to what he may achieve with us and move on.
