I have a feeling 14k home fans will be a big ask. I'm ready to be proved wrong though.



There was an editorial in this mornings Metro talking about the pitch and I was waiting for the inevitable rugby this and that but joyfully it never came. Perhaps the message is getting through

I wouldn't hold out much hope for 14k to be honest.



Considering the crowd against HKR, we'd need an extra 1500 fans to hit 14k, and then there's the away support to factor in.



Realisitically, we'd do very, very well to persuade 2500 people to turn up for Catalans when they didn't bother against Hull KR.

The weather wont help but with the team doing well easily achievable. These are fans that have probably been disillusioned the last couple of years with our bad starts

The hope in terms of getting an extra 2,500 speccies on tonight then we got for the HKR game is that this one isn't on the TV and it's on the back of that win at Wire.



I still doubt us getting them though and would be happy with a crowd of above 12k.

13k will be a more realistic target, 14k would mean 2.5k extra fans turning up as KR brought about 750, whereas catalan might bring 50 if we are lucky

The weather forecast is for it to have dried up by this evening. I hope that's accurate, because at present this is the worst kind of weather for attracting a walk-up.

Surely HKR brought 4 million speccies?

I've just seen the tries on SSN... That pitch is absolutely disgusting, in particular in the centre of the pitch.

It was awful, but the latics can't have many games left, so will only benefit us, to run in 10 tries on that pitch was a good effort.

the edges where most of the tries were scored looked fine. anyhow we wont be mentioning it again it will have been dug up by now

How are latics tickets cheaper than the rugbys ?

Apart from the three for thirty quid promotion which was a good idea by the way

Both teams put promotions on throughout the season we did it last year withe the big one and also the hienz promotion when the bought the north stand allocation

In a town like wigan were brass is tight and some of the people tighter still both clubs do ok for spectators
