Still - aside from the fact that the interviewer was definitely not Paxman, it has to be said that MC comes across as a very likeable, honest and forthright chap; his enthusiasm for the club and the game shines through and he doesn't create the impression of being in it for the sake of his own ego, which is refreshing.



From a PR perspective, a job well done.

Why should he mention the Bulls, As he stated there's 3-4 players to come in, we could be doing business with the Bulls, so the last thing he would do is throw a spanner in the works.

Don't see why people are questioning Radio Leeds and JD not asking that question.....it's an ongoing investigation that the RFL are dealing with.....surely nobody could have expected our Chairman to answer any questions regarding Bradford at this particular time.....



Thought it was a good half hour....honest and open.....came across well.....good news that we are in a position to be able to look to still bring 3 or 4 players in to add more squad depth, albeit with having to lose one or two......sounds like a departure is imminent.....no prizes for guessing that one......if losing one allows us to bring 2 in then it's not so bad in my eyes......although as said.....will be difficult now to find quality players....

I'm not one to normally jump on the gossip wagon, however some of the sources and what is being said there and on here, I thought it was worth a mention.

I know when I used to work for a company that got taken over and I was asked to TUPE to the NEWCO they tried to change the T&C's of my contract meaning I got a 20% paycut, lost my company car and private health, I refused to sign and went to work for a competitor and got a redundancy payment

I think 9 pages on another thread about open letter warranted the question being asked to MC He could have given his personal thoughts about it.

My experience of being TUPE'd is different. I was TUPE'd from company A to Company B but am still on T's & C's of company A. Which suits me fine as I get six weeks holiday instead of five and the redundancy terms of company A which are far better than those of my new employer. And I have continuous service (41 years).

The only time my T's & C's will change to the new employer is if I'm promoted but I'm too close to retirement for that to happen.



TUPE is weird,

Cheers goood listen and MC came across very well. Agreed with what he said about Kirmond and also Aiton. Don't know if anyone else picked up a little mistake MC made, that it was John Kear that was in charge when we finished 5th a few years ago.

No mention of TUPE though until this evening

If that rumour is true, it would suggest that the T&C's offered by newco were not agreeable; which ties in with something I read, suggesting that the players were again asked to take a pay cut as part of the transfer of ownership.



Interesting times, given that MC said during the interview that we're looking at 3 or 4 other players but he couldn't disclose the details.

It may be that some of them just want to take some time to consider whether they can secure a better deal at this point elsewhere. Better could be more secure, more money, longer term...... Who knows?

If Daddycool says one or two are leaving. I suppose Lee Smith is one who is the other?
