Whilst I agree speed and strength does not constitute a good RL player, I was merely pointing out that we do have an advantage in that area and should try to utilise that advantage to the full by keeping Saints out of our half at all costs.

I see the point you are trying to make but its not about speed or power alone. Teams defend and attack as a unit, support play comes into it aswell as a desire to chase back and defend the line at all costs. When Saints attack the move the ball wide and support play really well, they have enough players skill and pace to score from anywhere on the pitch.

Gilmour is very very quick, i'd be surprised of Webster was quicker in a foot race.

What started as an observation that could lead to a useful (probably damage limiting) tactic against Saints has become somewhat distorted.



Saints are strong favourites to win because of the whole range of skills and abilities they can bring to bear in the game.

I see Ian Millward is tipping Saints to cover the 18 point start.
