IMO laffranchi will be used in the role that TP has been doing. He'll line up at loose forward but play as a 3rd prop.



I'm pretty certain that's why we've gone for laffranchi as he's perfect for this role.

So who steps up to Graham's leadership in the front role?

Perry in the 'enforcer' role, Roby as 'leader'.



Jammer is impossible to replace like for like.

Perry and LMS will start IMO with laffranchi as 3rd prop at 13 with TP on the bench.



Perry, laffranchi and TP all offer great experience in the front row.

As a guess I'd say Josh Perry is the most likely candidate as he at least has some fire in his belly so could inspire the team when they are needing motivation. But in all honesty, I haven't a clue.

That isn't what was asked though.

And, 2 out of the 3 aren't front rowers by trade.

Um, it's a forum for discussion and one element of discussion is the asking of questions! But it's always useful answering the questions that are asked, rather than those that aren't.

That makes no odds at saints, foster is a centre by trade, meli is a winger by trade, wheeler is a stand off by trade.



Being serious though, the Aussies are now playing there LF as a 3rd prop like Paul gallan. Perry, LMS are out and out props and TP has played most of his time as prop so its not to bad. Plus we've got magennis.



I think perry, TP, LMS, laffranchi and magennis will go well for us and we are looking at another forward.

But who will be the leader up front? The leader, that is; not the most experienced player!

We've not seen great deal of him in saints shirt as he's been injured nearly every week but he's got leadership skill as laffranchi does.

I get the impression from your posts that you feel that only the front row can lead the pack. Correct?

No. I'm just trying to identify a leader in the pack and the only one I can think of who so far as the potential is Perry, who happens to be in the front row. We don't have an abundance of leaders at Saints, just as we don't have an abundance of players with guile at Saints. The current Saints team look a bit too much like sheeple to me, with a couple of exceptions as stated.

Laffranchi is a leader and very highly thought of at the titans that they want him back on the coaching staff. Royce has also said he'll be great for the younger guys. Perry also leads by example ( if we get him on the pitch).



Roby is a great leader in his own way, he leads by example and that's got to rub off on the other guys seeing him tackle everything that moves while making breaks. He might not say much but he leads by example.

Don't forget Clough, he's developing very nicely.



Perry and Laffrinchi will lead the pack next year, and LMS will step up in time, he's still got a couple of gears left in him.
