Very optimistic from Peter, i'd say somewhere between 7th and 5th would be more realistic....6th it is then!

Think hood needs to be a bit more realistic. We'd all be delighted with top four and a final. But IMO top four isn't achievable this year and we would need a very kind cup run to make a final. If this seasons squad clicks and we make solid return to playoffs then, with another quality signing or two next year, hoods prediction may be realistic for 2013 season. As it is he's given people a stick to beat him with at end of season. That said think Ross has put a little spin on it to get a better headline.

Top 4 and a good cup run should be the goal for any club serious about being a success in SL. I've no problem with Peter Hood saying the club should aiming for this. Perhaps we are a little way off being able to truly do this, but we are closer this year than last year.

Totally agree with. Maybe a better question for Ross to have asked would be 'what is this years realistic target' ?.

Ultimately every clubs aiming for top 4 and finals and any season you don't achieve it is a failure, but at the same time if you show a significant improvement on the previous seasonthen you've got to class season as a success?

We should aim as high as possible. But unrealistic quotes in the press make us look silly.

I've never understood why people get all het up about Hood saying this. He has been asked what Bradford are aiming for, not what they'll realistically achieve.



A club of our standing should shoot for nothing less than the top four. What's the point otherwise? In my professional life, I always set myself lofty goals because I want to make the most out of my talents. Sometimes I won't hit my targets but it's better than accepting or settling for mediocrity.



Personally I think the Bulls will struggle to crack the top eight but I still have no problem with Mr Hood aiming higher.

We do need to aim high, fair enough, but sucess for me this this year for me would be, in order of priority;



1- Be competitive and never give in for every home game

2- Win more games than we lose over the season

3- make the playoffs (which would probably follow 2 tbf)
